Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which ones the Openhand Atlas website uses, and how you can control them. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places in your browser when you visit. They help the website remember information between pages and between visits — for example, whether you have already accepted our cookie notice.
Cookies cannot run programmes or deliver viruses. They are simply data files stored locally in your browser. You can delete or block them at any time through your browser settings.
2. Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies Always active
These cookies are required for the website to function. They manage your session, remember security preferences, and ensure forms submit correctly. You cannot disable them as the website would not work without them.
Examples: cookieConsent (localStorage) — session security token
Duration: Session or persistent (up to 12 months)
Analytics Cookies Optional
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the website — which pages are most visited, how long people stay, and where they come from. This information is used in aggregate and does not identify you personally.
Examples: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid)
Duration: Up to 2 years (Google Analytics standard)
Marketing Cookies Optional
Marketing cookies track your visits across websites so that advertising can be personalised to your interests. We use these only when you have given consent. If you decline, you will still see advertisements but they will not be tailored to your browsing.
Examples: Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking
Duration: Up to 90 days
Preference Cookies Optional
These cookies remember settings you have chosen — such as your language preference or display options — so you do not have to re-enter them on each visit.
Examples: Language selection, display preferences
Duration: Up to 12 months
Manage Your Preferences
Use the toggles above to set your preferences, then click Save. Alternatively, use the quick buttons below.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on this website are set by third-party services we use. These include:
- Google Analytics — website usage statistics (requires analytics cookie consent)
- Google Ads — conversion tracking (requires marketing cookie consent)
- Facebook Pixel — ad performance measurement (requires marketing cookie consent)
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites via Google's opt-out tool.
4. Cookie Duration
Cookies fall into two duration categories:
- Session cookies: Deleted automatically when you close your browser. Used for security and session management.
- Persistent cookies: Remain in your browser until their expiry date or until you delete them. Used for preferences and analytics. Expiry ranges from 30 days to 2 years depending on the cookie.

6. Your Rights
- You can withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time using the toggles above or through your browser settings.
- Withdrawing consent for optional cookies does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before withdrawal.
- If you have questions about how your data is used in connection with cookies, contact [email protected].
- You can request a copy of your personal data or ask for it to be deleted under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 — see our Privacy Policy for details.
