◈ Why Openhand Atlas

What Sets This Centre Apart

We work at the pace that suits you, not the pace that suits us.

Plain Language, Every Step

Every explanation uses ordinary words. We do not assume prior knowledge, and we do not rush you through the process.

One Task, One Clear Route

Sessions are structured so you leave knowing what the next step is and what to bring. No loose ends, no vague follow-ups.

Printed Materials You Keep

Every session includes a printed summary or checklist. You do not need to rely on memory or note-taking.

Small Groups by Design

Course sessions are capped at eight participants so the assistant can address each person's questions directly.

Central Kuala Lumpur Location

Level 25, Menara Takaful Malaysia is accessible by LRT and major bus routes from across the Klang Valley.

No Advice on Outcomes

We are clear about what we do and what we do not do. We help you communicate and find information — we do not predict or promise outcomes.

◈ Common Questions

Questions Before You Visit

What exactly happens in a Consumer Correspondence Support session?

You arrive with any background documents or notes about the situation. Over 75 minutes, an assistant works with you to draft a clear, polite letter or email to the relevant company or service provider. You explain what happened; the assistant helps you put it into words, identifies which documents to attach, and provides printed information about the publicly listed feedback channels for that type of business. You leave with one draft and one revision is included if you would like to adjust wording. This is a writing and information session only — we do not assess the merits of any matter.

I am not confident with technology at all. Can I still attend the Digital Skills Course?

The course is designed precisely for people who find digital tasks unfamiliar. No prior experience is expected. A loaner tablet is available during each session so you do not need your own device. The group is kept to eight participants, which means there is time to ask questions and go at a pace that works for you. Many attendees are helping an older parent or relative and find the course useful for that reason too.

How long does the Neighbourhood Resource Mapping engagement take?

The engagement runs over six weeks. This typically includes two to three stakeholder interviews or focus sessions, field research across the neighbourhood, production of the physical and digital map and printable directory, and a half-day briefing for your staff or committee. A quarterly update template is handed over at the end so your organisation can keep the map current in-house without needing to return to us.

Do you give legal, financial or medical advice?

No. Openhand Atlas provides writing support, digital skills education, and informational mapping only. We do not advise on the legal merits of any matter, make financial recommendations, or provide any form of health guidance. If you need professional advice, we can point you to publicly listed referral contacts and government helplines, but we are not those services ourselves.

How do I pay and what is included in the price?

Payment details are confirmed at booking. The price for Consumer Correspondence Support (RM 480) covers the full 75-minute session, one draft, one revision, and the printed checklist. The Digital Skills Course fee (RM 1,750) covers all eight two-hour sessions, the printed workbook, loaner tablet use during classes, and the follow-up drop-in hour. The Neighbourhood Resource Mapping fee (RM 4,480) covers all stakeholder work, the physical and digital map, the printable directory, the half-day briefing, and the update template.

Is my personal information kept private?

Yes. We handle all personal information in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia). Information shared during a session is used solely for the purpose of that session. We do not share your details with any third party without your knowledge. Our full privacy policy is available at privacy-policy.html.
